Careers Programme
Welcome to Careers
At the Brunts Academy we follow the Gatsby Benchmarks, which provide the methodology by which we can significantly improve the employability and life skills of our young people regardless of their academic ability or which career pathway they chose to take. Students will experience multiple interactions with employers through careers talks, events, work experience, assemblies and in lessons across the wider curriculum and are also able to access personal guidance any time they need to.
How the school measures and assesses the impact of the careers programme on students
The school will publish destination data each year , request regular student voice for unifrog, QA delivery of the career programme in tutor time, QA external visits to school and away from school, complete compliance reviews with the GAT as well as accessing support and staff CPD through the careers and enterprise company. The Academy will receive external validation through Career Mark and compass+ returns. The date of the school’s or college’s next review of the information published. The website will be regularly updated with new material each half term, policies will be reviewed in line with GAT protocol (usually every 2 years, unless new legislation requires a review of policy)
