Our curriculum aims to develop students’ passion for music through listening, composing and performing. Students will develop their cultural understanding of musical conventions from across the world and will explore these through use of instruments and voice. They will have the opportunity to discover and develop their own musical preferences as well as to appreciate the musical preferences of others. Music provides students with many transferable skills including confidence, inclusivity, resilience and a strong sense of identify and the world around them.
Please note: Curriculum plans are constantly under review and are re-sequenced following key assessment points to ensure any gaps in knowledge and understanding are addressed.
